New Autoglass website puts fleets in the driving seat

Autoglass continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing a world class service for its fleet customers with the launch of a new online booking facility. A first for the vehicle glass repair and replacement industry, the user-friendly service is set to make it even easier for fleet drivers to book a convenient appointment at a time and place that suits them.

The new service has been designed to offer an online booking service in just a few steps. Fleet drivers can log on at anytime and chose from one of the available slots suitable for them and select whether they would like to take the vehicle into the nearest branch or arrange for a technician to visit their home or workplace, leaving fleet drivers completely in control to tailor the service to their needs.

Online booking is just one of the new features of the revamped Autoglass website which has been designed to provide users with an easy-to-follow guide to glass repair and replacement. The site also includes branch information, branch locator with map and route planner, advice on repair over replacement options and more about Autoglass as a company.

Other unique features of the website are the new interactive presentations which provide easy to follow demonstrations of windscreen repair and windscreen and side/ rear glass replacement. The aim is to help fleet drivers understand how the process works.

Nigel Doggett, managing director at Autoglass says: “It is crucial to any business that fleet vehicles are kept on the road. By providing an online booking facility we are offering drivers a simple way of booking to help mimimise unnessesary downtime.

“Our new site adds even more flexibility and value to our service proposition, enabling fleet customers to choose when and where they want their glass repaired or replaced without having to pick up the phone.”

Autoglass is the UK’s leading vehicle glass repair and replacement service with 119 branches nationwide and 1,240 mobile service units. All Autoglass technicians are trained at its National Skills Centre, the only training program of its kind to be Thatcham accredited. In addition, Autoglass technicians are the first windscreen repair and replacement workers in the country to take the IMI’s highly regarded Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) scheme for the auto glazing sector, a new voluntary qualification to raise standards in the industry.
