Neil Atherton becomes Sales and Marketing Director at Autoglass

eil Atherton has been appointed as the new Sales and Marketing Director for Autoglass, replacing Andr© May who is relocating back to his native New Zealand.

Neil first joined Autoglass in 2005 as Finance Director, with responsibility for Finance, IT, Risk & Compliance, Property and Fleet.  In his new role, he will have responsibility for continuing to build the brand's offer for consumers, fleets and insurers.

Neil will continue to report to Matthew Mycock, Managing Director. Paul Lewis, Finance Director for sister company, AutoRestore®, will be taking over as Finance Director from Neil in a new, dual role.

Prior to joining Autoglass, Neil held several positions within Heywood Williams and Courtaulds Textiles before joining Plumbs, the privately owned soft furnishings company, first as Finance Director and then as Managing Director. 

Neil is a graduate of Sheffield University and a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Commenting on his appointment, Neil said:

I'm very proud to be picking up the reins of such an iconic and well-loved brand in my new role and would like to thank Andr© for everything he has achieved.  I look forward to continuing to focus on providing 

the best possible service to our customers and supporting continued investment in new technologies that will benefit customers in the long run.

Matthew Mycock, Managing Director at Autoglass, commented:

In addition to his impressive commercial skills there is scarcely anyone who knows Autoglass and the vehicle glass repair and replacement market better than Neil.  This makes him the natural choice to continue to strengthen our relationships with insurance and fleet partners.
