HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire Helen Nellis visits Autoglass

Autoglass welcomed HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire Helen Nellis to both their Head Office and Branch in Bedford on Monday.

As part of her role as Bedfordshire Business Ambassador, the Lord-Lieutenant's visit started with a presentation from the Executive team at Autoglass who provided an overview of the company and the vehicle glass repair and replacement industry, as well as discussing the Lord-Lieutenancy role within the local business community of Bedfordshire.

Matthew Mycock Managing Director for Autoglass said:

We are honoured to have welcomed HM Lord-Lieutenant Helen Nellis to Autoglass. Having been a Bedfordshire employer for over 40 years and a member of the Bedfordshire business community, we are committed to contributing to the growth of our local economy, supporting our local community and celebrating the achievements of our employees. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to discuss what we do and introduce the team to the Lord-Lieutenant.

As part of the visit, the Lord-Lieutenant was invited on a tour of the Sales & Service Centre to meet with staff, listen to a call and learn more about the company's charitable work from its Corporate Responsibility champions. The final part of the tour took place at the company's Bedford branch where the Lord-Lieutenant watched a vehicle glass repair being carried out by Technician, Nigel English.

Of the visit, the Lord-Lieutenant said: Autoglass employs more than five hundred people in Bedfordshire alone. I was particularly struck by the incredible level of support Autoglass provides to the local community. It was a pleasure to meet the team and watch first-hand how vehicle glass is repaired.

Autoglass serves over one million UK motorists annually.
