Autoglass introduces superior new repair resin

Autoglass, the UK's leading vehicle glass repair and replacement specialist, has developed a unique resin, which stays stronger and lasts longer than any other resin on the market.

The HPX3« resin's specifications include higher adhesion, better ageing, low shrinkage and better colour stability. These ensure a more durable repair that not only lasts the lifetime of the vehicle, but also lessens the risk of yellowing and of shrinkage, which might otherwise result in the re-appearance of chips, which may cause cracks to develop.

The breakthrough came after the parent company of Autoglass, Belron«, invested significant resources into research and development to find a windscreen repair resin which was the best on the market. Rigorous weathering tests undertaken by an independent research laboratory have shown HPX3« consistently outperforms rival repair solutions.

Autoglass managing director Matthew Mycock said, We are determined to deliver fast, superior, safe and high quality repairs every time and this new resin will provide real benefits for the motorist.

We are continually striving to improve our service so that our customers, our insurance partners and their policyholders all benefit.

Our new resin and the warranty we provide alongside it supports our research that on average repairing a chip is ten times more environmentally friendly than replacing a windscreen.

The resin is being rolled out across Autoglass centres in the UK and throughout the wider Belron« network. It will also be featured in the brand's latest TV advertisement.
