Autoglass supports Road Safety Week with call for less risk taking

Young passengers who have lost family and friends in road crashes caused by young drivers have marked Road Safety Week by calling for more to be done to stop the number one killer of young people, according to our road safety charity partners, Brake.

You can read more about the research conducted by Brake and QBE Insurance on the Brake website.

Matthew Mycock, managing director from Autoglass commented:

"Too many precious lives are lost due to people's lack of awareness on the roads. Many young drivers in particular are involved in road incidents, and it's alarming how many of these result in fatalities. We cannot stress enough how important it is for all drivers, but particularly those that have less experience, to be more cautious and not take risks. This is especially the case through the winter, when visibility can be impaired on poorly-lit roads and in bad weather conditions. Road Safety Week is an ideal opportunity to encourage drivers to stay as alert as possible and to remind them not to take risks that could lead to death and injury."
