Autoglass opens recruitment doors nationwide

Autoglass, the UK’s largest vehicle glass repair and replacement specialist, has launched a national recruitment drive in the UK, in response to increased demand for its services following the demise of one of its competitors and its continued investment in to customer service.

Autoglass is looking to recruit 200 new staff across its branches, including 150 technicians and 50 branch-based customer service agents. The company has set up a dedicated text line for former Auto Windscreen employees, who will be dealt with as priority in light of their new employment needs. However, previous industry experience is not essential, the vehicle glass specialist is also looking those with strong customer service skills.

New recruits to the Autoglass team can look forward to the highest standard of training, regardless of position. Technicians are set to be at the top of their game, after undergoing extensive training at the company’s National Skills Centre (NSC) in Birmingham, where they cover windscreen repair, body glass and windscreen replacement. The NSC is the only training facility to hold a Thatcham quality accreditation, which constantly addresses the implications of the constantly evolving glass market, so guarantees that staff will be at the cutting edge of industry development. All technicians are placed on the automotive technician accreditation (ATA) scheme awarded by Institute of Motor Industry system, to further spur their personal development.

“We have seen a surge in demand of late and we anticipate a potential 200,000 additional customers turning to Autoglass this year. We are going to need this further support to deal with demand, and call the best of breed forward to join our forces to maintain outstanding levels of customer service.”
