Autoglass boosts mobile technician team with new recruits

During a time when unemployment is high across the country, Autoglass, the UK’s leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company has launched a recruitment drive to boost its mobile technician team by creating 200 new jobs nationwide.

As the aftermath of the worst winter for more than 25 years has left Britain’s roads in tatters with the number of potholes increasing by the day, Autoglass has reported record numbers of calls this year, as a direct result of windscreens cracking because of the pressure they’re being put under by appalling road surfaces, and loose tarmac chipping screens.

In order to boost its mobile repair and replacement team and service the high volume of customers, Autoglass is looking to employ an extra 200 technicians across the UK.

Nigel Doggett, managing director of Autoglass, comments “With an estimated 1.5 million potholes, Britain’s roads are in the worst state they have been for years. Because of this we’ve taken thousands of calls reporting damaged windscreens as a result of the poor road surfaces.

"As a company which prides itself on delivering the highest level of customer service, we have launched a recruitment drive and are looking to employ 200 extra mobile technicians across the country, so we can continue to service our customers needs efficiently.

"During these testing economic times when unemployment across the UK is high, we feel extremely fortunate to be in a position where we are able to offer jobs to those seeking employment.”

Autoglass is the UK’s leading vehicle glass repair and replacement service, with 104 branches nationwide and 1,200 mobile service units. For details of your nearest centre call 0800 36 36 36  or visit
